Texas Franchise Tax – Webfile Number
The Texas Webfile Number is an 8-character code issued by the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts. It provides access to the Comptroller’s electronic reporting system and is essential for filing your state tax documents. There are three types of Webfile numbers:
- FQ Number – Used for completing the Franchise Tax Accountability Questionnaire
- XT Number – Used for filing Franchise Tax Reports and Public Information Reports
- RT Number – Used for filing Sales and Use Tax returns and other related taxes
Each number begins with a two-letter prefix followed by six digits (e.g., XT123456).
